There is a huge Latina portion in Classic, and by definition, they are not from the EU. I don't believe the claim that most of the active Classic players are from the EU, Aion retail doesn't have many EU players because there has always been EU version, which shows there is a sufficient NA player base to keep the server going. And this gave me time to really work on my crafting, gathering, aethertapping - and earn kinah for the PvE (hand made) gear I really wanted. The bots got so bad that they kill steal anything you try to kill - for drops or for kill counts. Legion of bots afk in sanctum warehouse for hours, really annoying.
